Came to Florence a few days ago and tried several well-rated trattorias, but they all left us disappointed. Then finally tried the restaurant right next to our residence, and it was a revelation. Authentic Italian pasta, quality ingredients, warm service, and the house wine was perfect. The tiramisu is the one you dream about. After four other places, this is the one we truly recommend. Please go.

Wonderful little find in Florence After taking in the lovely sunset at the famous vantage point of Piazzale Michelangelo our hungry group of six stumbled across a rather unassuming little restaurant along Lungarno Benvenuto Cellini facing the Arno River named MOZZA & Bollicine. In our quest to avoid touristy restaurants we were warmly greeted by the owner Salvatore. From the moment we stepped into this GEM of a restaurant nothing was too much trouble for Salvatore. The food was exceptional with a definite thumbs up from each member of our group. Salvatore also offers a wide range of wines (another of his specialities) and was very happy to provide glasses of various wonderful examples of the region aimed to meet our palate. We were also showered with a range of little special compliments along the journey. Not only were the homemade desserts to die for but his special biscotti was a definite winner among us all. Then up another notch we were introduced to new experience of dipping the cantucci into Santo Spirito 11, something we would have never considered. Such a fantastic meal and experience was had by all, totally satisfying the hungry group on so many levels. This of course led to the unanimous vote to return for a second night. Unbelievably Salvatore even outperformed the previous night with some extra special homemade pasta dishes and unbelievable desserts. The dishes are too many to list, but my favourites were Pasta with Fresh Clams white wine chilli sauce and the incredible affogato semifreddo. Recommend this little restaurant to anyone visiting wonderful Florence.

If you are looking for an authentic Italian meal cooked by a real, world traveled Italian chef; look no further This was the best meal we had on our 21 day trip in Italy! Salvatore runs his business and kitchen with passion and only serves the highest quality products to his guests. Luis gave us incredible service and every single detail was handled with the same level of passion and care.

I had dinner at this perfect restaurant 4 times while visiting Florence. The chef/owner, Salvatore, brings passion, talent, and skill to each dish. I enjoyed the carbonara, the gnocchi, spinach&egg soup, artichoke salad, caprese, mushroom and asparagus risotto, and (my Favorite) ragu with sea bass and pasta. The tiramisu, panna cotta and chocolate lava cake are wonderful desserts to finish with. Also, save room for the homemade limoncello. But be careful, you will definitely want more than one shot. Luis, the bartender, shares his love of the menu in such a delightful and expressive way it makes you enjoy the food all the more. Please put this perfect spot on your list of must visit places while in Florence.

My family and I had a wonderful experience here. Salvatore (the owner and chef) and Luis were friendly, accommodating, and attentive all evening. A few of our favorites were the steak, seafood risotto, and the homemade cantucci. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in Florence again! Thank you Salvatore and Luis!
